Boston College halts Ferris State, wins NCAA hockey title

Previewing Saturday's 2012 NCAA Men's Hockey National Championship Game between the Boston College Eagles and the Ferris State Bulldogs.

He's been to the Frozen Four numerous other times, fulfilling his duties as an assistant, then head coach, then president of the American Hockey Coaches Association. Now, he's here as a wildly proud and enthusiastic alumnus of Ferris State University.

The Ferris State University hockey team is headed to the Frozen Four in Tampa, Fla., for the first time in program history. The Bulldogs defeated Denver 2-1 on Friday and then held on to beat Cornell 2-1 Saturday night to lock in the trip to Florida.

Boston College is accustomed to playing for a national championship. Ferris State is not.
